Cherry Blossom Tree Mooloolaba opened it doors in December 2012 and is our second store on the sunshine coast. The mooloolaba store was created to allow dinners a more relaxed dinning experience away from the hustle and bustle of the Plaza shopping centre and the main Mooloolaba esplanade. Being the only restaurant on the coast to offer private tatami dinning rooms,  it is an experience that everyone loves and should enjoy!!

We offer the sushi train experience during the day and for dinner we stop the train and offer more contemporary Japanese cuisine, offering delicious food, such as Hiramasa Kingfish for starters, Buta Ba’ra for main and Sake Custard Pudding for dessert just to name a few, or if you are adventurous try the Omakase menu, the chefs decide the food for you!!

Head Chef Jeff Leong has lived on the Sunshine coast most of his working life, spending many years at the award wining Thai restaurant Spirit House, before moving into the Kitchen Head Chef role at Wasabi in Noosa. Luckily for all of us around this end of the sunshine coast he is now our Head Chef at Mooloolaba and his talent, passion and desire to create and provide our customers with a truly exceptional tasting journey is one not to be missed..

There is parking for the restaurant on the main road, or behind the building with parking for 40+ cars, please use lane way on Brisbane Road between “La Balsa” building and “police Beat” building or enter car park from Burnett street.
